The coast in the Camp Toucan area runs north-south, and the Caribbean Sea is to the east. The trade winds consistently blow from the east, so it’s easy to sail north and south along the coast, between the beach and the reef, taking advantage of steady winds on protected waters. (You won’t get blown out to sea, because the winds tend to carry you back toward the shore, even if you are still learning how to sail.)
Camp Toucan guides will take you out on the water and get you oriented to the catamarans and local conditions, then it will be your turn to sail along the coast.
The white sands of the beaches, and the turquoise colors of the Caribbean Sea, make this a really beautiful place to sail!
